During undergraduate years I picked up skills of qualitative research methods (interviews, focus group discussions, ethnography, participant observation) and developed my confidence as a social science researcher. Combining the fields of Environmental Studies and Anthropology, I produced an ethnography for my undergraduate dissertation:
  2. I made sure to apply social science theories and research skills towards advocating for social issues close to my heart, through my involvement in independent citizen’s research projects. One recent example is:
  3. I also have experience in newsroom and editorial writing.
    1. From 2019 to 2023, I have doing writing and copyediting work at the Yale-NUS Newsroom.
    2. During my internship with Rice Media in 2019, I wrote on contemporary topics like cost of living, sexual assault, and gender norms.
